THE facilities offered by Club Macquarie are already popular with wedding planners, sporting organisations and conference organisers.
Marketing manager Lesley Faulkner said the addition of Macquarie Inn would not only consolidate that popularity but push it to a new level. "Now we have a unique and all-inclusive package full club facilities including conference and function rooms, and superior accommodation," Ms Faulkner said. "Major events in Newcastle or Lake Macquarie result in all the previously available city accommodation being booked out. Now visitors to the region have an alternative." Club Macquarie has built an enviable reputation as an event host. "We're big enough to have three wedding receptions accommodated comfortably on the one night, or six functions in different room configurations. Now there's accommodation too."
